Reviews for "Crush the Castle 2 PP"

Angry Birds

Seriously, i think you should sue them for making millions off you're concept

My first review in two years, and it goes to...

... a strikingly good cause.

Crush the Castle 2: Player's Pack is a disastrously enjoyable romp through the medieval countryside, leaving not a king, queen, or knight left standing. Strikingly difficult, it's nothing we've not seen before from Armor Games and Co., but it's a very pleasing addition to their rather extensive catalogue.

In this entry, you dither about as the Redvonian Siege Master, once again, causing utter destruction and probably causing small children to cry. Make no mistake, it's pretty fucking awesome throwing bombs about with no real care for where they land as long as they're killing as many people and destroying as much of the castle as you can explosively detonate at once. If you're coming into this somewhat beleaguered to click on what is, in your mind, "yet another CtC game", I'll put it to you this way: It's still just as fun as it was in the "official" releases, but now you're officially tearing down the shit of other users, and that's great.

The physics are mind-numbingly hellish, sometimes seeming like the game is cheating, until you realize that it DOES matter that your stone landed one hair to the right of where it was last time, and yeah, that's a legitimate reason why you got a totally different result.

The level design is, as expected, varied, and there are both easy and very difficult levels to complete. You'll find yourself verily entertained by the myriad levels presented you. I know I was.

What didn't entertain me in the slightest was that although this is a new entry, there is no improvement on any existing formulas. There's a very good reason for this: It's a player's pack. This doesn't detract from my wishing to see where this series will go, however.

Two points were removed for feeling like more of the same, but in this take-no-prisoners expansion to Crush the Castle 2, more of the same is definitely not altogether terrible.

Nice sequal

Entertaining, but has a bug

A very nice collection of castles for those who finished Crush the Castle 2 and are still hungry for more.

It does have a bug, though: in the "Push The Button" castle, the inner stack of wood appears to be unconnected to the stacks on the outside (both of them!), so no matter what you do, you cannot incinerate the wood inside the castle and kill the princesses.

I hope there'll be an updated version! (Or, alternatively, that somebody'll tell me why I'm wrong and why and how this castle can be done after all.)

Different feel...

I liked how instead of unlocking one weapon at a time you unlocked the whole tier, made things more interesting, but kind of sacrificed difficulty. I beat this game faster than any of the others. There were some pretty creatively challenging castles, but for the most part they were too simple, and easily crushed I believe.
