Reviews for "Story of the Blanks"

Great game

On;y bad part is the way back took forever for me at least. The game is still pretty cool though. Like you turned the creepypasta into a retro NES style game for people to play which is pretty cool anyways.

The graphics are retro, need I say more?

The story was good as well. Apple Bloom followed Ruby the ghost pony into a forest and nearly dies getting out. Well at least I did since the first two ghosts are always easy and then the third one took me a very long time to get past since it moves a lot faster than the others do, not sure if it is a glitch or if you meant it to be that way. The rest of the way was smooth and easy sailing to exit the forest area.

Music was really nice and I enjoyed the tunes that were fitting of the game too. One last thing I have to wonder is what was the crank for? Was it for getting that bucket up later or not since it never states if you were using it. Funny how the one ghost helps you escape since it wished she had protected her instead.

Overall, great creepypasta pony game, really enjoyed playing it.

Spoiler alert

Honestly, I wasn't exepecting much.

Then I saw the zombie ponies...

The story was just perfect. It was very creepy and it didn't need to rely on pointless gore. You made MLP scary. That's a great accomplishment in my book.

The only thing I didn't like was that fast pony. It took me five tries to get past that bastard. Is there a trick to it or something?

I hope to see more games like this.

Fun little graphic tail. o:

I actually liked the length of it, don't understand why everyone else is complaining. It feels like it had its own inside plot and then followed it through to a seemingly neutral solution. There's space for a sequel but there doesn't have to be one, really. I believe this was meant more to be a story, as opposed to a game. We as the players are meant to follow along and try to comprehend the meaning. When there isn't enough information to come to a proper conclusion, it makes it seem just that more.. Blank.

So yes, I enjoyed it, 9/10, 5/5.

Also.. It heavily reminded me of a freeware indie game.. Have you ever played Yume Nikki? It's got the same feel where it's more for the exploration and less about actual progression.

Strangely creepy

Even though I've played other flash games that did startle me at certain points, this one was quite special. Instead of going for the raw, unintelligent horror of having things pop up on your screen, this game had you witness what was going on around you and really made you run for your own sweet life. The final sequence through the corpse-riddled wood actually sent shivers down my arms.

I'm not a big fan of My Little Pony, but this was actually a decent story.
