Intersting game

Great game and good music, but I prefer a game that is functional enough to let players acquire the badges it shows. This is the second time I've played this game through on Normal, and the second time I've spent time sweeping every nook of every room making sure the map is covered, including secret rooms, in one go. I've even checked the author's map and alphasoldier's to be sure. Still no Explorer badge âEU" it just gives me 99%. Such a terrible end to an otherwise excellent experience....

Oh, don't worry. It's not a bug. You can get 100%, you're just missing a room. The most common room people are missing is the room that tells you how to pass Walleyes without getting hurt, which is in the red zone on the right side.

really fun! i thought this game wouldn't be that fun because the picture it showed when i looked it up..turns out, it's epicly awesome!

auriplane responds:

Thanks! And sorry I'm such a terrible artist xD

SO EPIC!

I am very impressed by the game. The game play it self it solid. It was challenging yes not impossible. People will probably not like this comparison. But, it felt very close to the Metroid originals for NES and SNES. Normally I would condemn a gaming artist for doing so. I have to make a except for this game. It served the original explorer platformers well.
Something I loved about this game are the upgrades. Another premise from Metroid that worked for them and yourself. It made it that much more of a reward and reason to continue to explore 100% or even beat the mini boss. A sense of accomplishment that comes with effort. With in the game, there are even parts that of the game in where to be able to continue, you have to find the secret item.
The only thing I can really say that may need improvement is perhaps would be a slight touch up to the graphics. They are terrible by any means, especially trying to hold true to the 16 bit graphics. In addition to that, and this is all speculative. I would have not added the map until later on in the game. Perhaps make it one of the first or second item found. The reasoning behind this is to add more a challenge. I remember one of the most difficult aspect of Metroid besides Mother Brain was trying to remember your way though the levels without a map from the back of a gaming magazine. I could understand if you were to be worried about that making it to difficult. I myself would have either made it something one had to find or remove it all together.
Over all, this was a very enjoyable game. I hope I didn't drive you made with all of the Metroid comparisons. You really made it your own really and there is nothing wrong with that.
