Reviews for "The Final Warrior - XG Version"

"The Final Warrior - XG Version"

Bonjour. I don't believe I've checked your music out before.

The main things that are bugging me in this song is that: you are using some really bad FL samples, and a bunch of MIDI. Very bad for the effort and quality, since you don't make the samples.

Originality: 4. This form of 'trance' has been done before, even with MIDI samples.

Diversity : 9. You did a good job putting the song together, but it was repetitive at parts.

Clarity is an 8, because well, its a MIDI file. Even though you mastered the song very well, MIDI isn't exactly the greatest quality.

Effort is an 8, but you would have been able tog et a 9 if you would have taken the time to use VSTs and samples.

Overall, an 8. An enjoyable piece, but the MIDI... bugs me way too much.

yeh, does sound a little bit basic, but some nice ideas here. the mix leaves a little bit to be desired aswell, drums are super quiet.
keep it up

Ouch...

midi is not the best ear medecine... The quality of your instruments weren't so good, as compared to the composition wich was good.

The intro kind of threw me off, the way it started i didn't expect it to turn into trance. That's cause i didn't check what genre you submitted to before listening.

That "saw" noise you had towards the end, i thought it was weird and maybe another sound could have done a better job.

This was not bad, but really hard to enjoy because of the midi sound quality. Good job nonehteless.

Good effort!

Yep it's midi, to be honest that doesn't bug me so much at all - it's a great way to practice with and I assume that when you've developed your songwriting skills enough, you're going to go find some adequate samples, so I will not bitch about that.

I like how this song strives to be somewhat rhapsodic, it works very well in some places. I'd advice you to work some more on recurring themes though. It can get a little all over the place to the point where I can't remember what the song was about in the first place.

For its samples, it's as groovy as it can get and there's some nicely controlled midi-action going on - tempo automation, dynamic variance etc - all nice stuff to experiment with.

Keep up the musical odyssey :) work on structuring your stuff and if you can get your hands on better samples, do so, but I'd rather hear a wonderful idea in midi than a crappy idea in shining VSTs.

Good luck and check out my stuff if you'd like!
