Could have been better
This game started as a good idea. Having two sides to check is something I don't see very often. But still, there is some major flaws. First, the right side towers cost twice as much as the other, when it is the side being attacked by stronger troops. Plus, the cash. It is okay that you keep the cash you gained at the end of a level for the next. What's not okay is that you need to buy again the new towers upgrades(grenade, triple gun and all that). This forces the players to moderate themselves, and a player who doesn't know this will spend all his money, then will be killed at the next 'cause there isn't any warning. For all this and more, I dare someone to say that it is a good game. Fix those things, and after we will talk. Not before.

This game is not that fun. Maybe the upgrades need to cost less or have unlimited waves to keep the game going and complete your upgrades.
NO FUN
It isn't just the difficulty. It lack in challenging.
Difficulty without challenging = NO FUN.
Learn to balance.
