Reviews for "FFMQ - Doom Castle"

waheyy

I havent heard the original, but this just sounds sexy, it made me want to get up and shake my pelvis at random strangers! The strings made it epic, and the guitars and drums made it hard rocking! One thing though, i dont think the guitars were quite loud enough. Put yeh, thoroughly enjoyable, 5's for you!!

Grumbleduke responds:

Well, the original was on the snes, and this was seriously one of the best tunes in the game, nay of 1992! I just found it so catchy when I heard it I had to cover it. Until the end, the guitars are a support device, so I had to make way for the main melody. It could be the Metaller in you yearning for more hardcore guitar grindin'!

As for shaking your pelvis at random strangers; only Quagmire is allowed to do that and get away with it. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but stop it.

Hell yeah!!!

These are some good'ol memories of that old SNES game. Yeah the game sucked comapred to all the others. There were a few good songs like this one and the boss battles.

This is an excellent remake, did you get new samples or something? And what is going on with the awards thingy? You have to tell me all about it :D

Oh and could i request my favorite song from this game wich is the final battle of the game, i just like the song so much.

Fifen'd for great justice. See you later.

Grumbleduke responds:

I haven't had any new samples; I just went to town on a good song! I've used more synth tracks in this sing than any other though, even the FF9 Battle.

I'll keep people posted about the award I could be winning; I believe the actual AVN awards happen in January, so there's a long way to go my friend. Atm it's just a pre-nomination; it doesn't count for anything yet. I'm still hopeful though :).

Yes, the FInal Battle is also a good one; really catchy, just like this one. What a sucky final boss too; easy as Yu Yevon, done in the same way!

wow

the intro blew me away. awesome!

awesome backround guitar with the dotted eighth sixteenth rythm. coooool. oooo SHIT mystic quest!!!!

i waslike wat the hell is ffmq???n then the rythm at 1:00 was so familiar. how canu say that this game sux????? i loved it...the battle music was so cool. anyways.

wat was with the ending? o well. cool song, not much to say though...it is a video game theme. u defninitely gave it ur own aspect of it an everything.

ya the last stage was defniitly unexpaected lol. the ending wasnt very good, but the song was awesome!!!nice job

Grumbleduke responds:

The actual game itself (mechanics, plot and things like that) was really lame imo, but it was redeemed by the absolutely awesome soundtrack it had, so it wasn't entirely bad. Enough of that though.

Not sure what you meant by the ending, because it is supposed to loop, albeit not perfectly (silly mp3 format). Thanks again, stallion.

Excelent

FFMQ songs are few and far between. I was amazed to see one on here after poking around in the audio section for a little while. Im downloading this as soon as possible.

FFMQ was one of the first Final Fantasys I played when I was very young, and its just kept with me. So its still the best damn final fantasy made Imho. Yeah im a bit biased. But oh man...great remix, and the only downside is the slightly choppy loop. Good Job chief!

Grumbleduke responds:

Thanks for that review. Personally I wasn't too impressed with it, gamewise, but I loved the music to bits! As far as I know, it wasn't Uematsu who wrote it...

I've heard some good versions of this song

But...WOW...Brought back the memories. Great job with this one man.
