Reviews for "Mystery of Willow Mannor"

Too many words!

It was nice of you to be able to move past the words without reading them. The thing I did not like about this was how there were just too many words! It seems like this game was a lot more cutscene than it was actually gameplay! Now, it does have its good points, like how its easy to get the medals. In fact, I think that you get a medal for any ending you get. In terms of how you get them, just play the game until you win or lose.

The next time you play, just do not do what you did last time to get the ending. What is good are the graphics. The detail in this is wonderfully done and I really liked the shading that was done in everything. There could have been some more sound as it didn't seem to create much of an atmosphere. Well, I guess I can't expect the best game to be made in 72 hours.

tenentenen responds:

Too many words? This is an interactive visual choose your own adventure novel. It is PURELY words. But I agree with you that it has very nice art. PooPoothegorilla did a very good job, and spent a long time on it.

Meh...

Sorry man but people are right, there are too many clicks and words, you should had shorten some of the sentences or at least combined them... It is kinda fun but my finger hurts from all that fucking clicking.

tenentenen responds:

Yeah i agree with "too many clicks", but the whole point is that it would seem unnatural to click out more than a sentence at a time, because when you read it, it would look funny. I disagree with "Too many words" how can an interactive visual novel have too many words? Explain, because I'm sure there is a legitimate point of view I am missing.
The team thanks you for your honesty and feedback. :)

Long

There is so much writing and would be better with noise.. also a "replay choice" option instead of playing the game over and over for diff endings

tenentenen responds:

72 hours, bro.
All those things are true, except the text part. This is a visual NOVEL.
checkpoints will be implemented in a later game.

Pretty decent game

~~REVIEW~~
ok so the loading time was not an issue but would have been nice if it was somewhat better in that area, it didnt take alot of time to load, but again something to think about in the next one, So as it did load, i was looking all over for the {PLAY-BUTTON} and it took me longer then expected but found the tiny button, another tip of improvment might be to make a better button, something more visible, I like how this starts with a story, The game is pretty fun, and its like a story wich shows good creativity on your end, so nice job on this and i had fun with this, there were just a few issies with loading time, and maybe the buttons but not much of an issue, other then that i thought it was alright, so nice job on this one and nice creativity.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
As for the {PLAY-BUTTON} >> Work on the button, make it look more like a button, all you have was the text of a buttion, you should make the text with a box or circle around it, and make that clickble aswell, that will give more area to click on and not so hard to click on by viewers.

~~OVERALL~~
A fun story game pretty good.

~X~

I defeated this game when it was released, but forget to review? Nice interactive novel game. Graphics were done in an interesting way.

The medals work, and I earned them all.
