Wow...

You tried to make a brick breaker and failed epicly... That takes skill.
There are many things wrong with this game.
Graphics: 2/5, even for retro games these graphics are pretty poor.
Game Play: 1/5, The tilt of the paddle is not necessary and the movement speed of the paddle is slow making the game very difficult, not to mention what happens if an asteroid gets caught behind the paddle and bounces off the paddle and onto the bricks below...
Sound: 1/5, after every level the annoying music that plays gets even more annoying, the BGM is a mix between the Party boy Song and some random techno shit. The sound from the impacts is not very annoying yet it is not satisfying.

-3 for game play.

Very Fun

These reviewers are a bunch of whiners, this game wasn't that amazing but its better than a 0 or a 2. I thought the game was fun and i liked the asteroids spit and made things interesting and I liked the power ups. The "paddle" needs to be faster though the speed on it is a little ridiculous but over all I found the game to be quite entertaining. So i give this game a 7 not a 0 or a 2 a 7. Seriously get a grip people its only a flash game there is ALOT worse on Newgrounds that deserve those shitty scored and this isn't one of them.

Needs real physics

It wouldn't have been terribly hard to actually calculate the reflection angle for the asteroid off the paddle. You cheated by simply making it bounce off to the side based on it's distance from the center of your paddle. There's not enough of a game there to not let the user feel like they're really in control of the bounce. Fix that and it'd be rewarding. Without it, there's only about 15 seconds of "defend my bricks" fun until I'm bored.
