If ever I needed something to spur off a Halo tangeant, this was gonna be it: A funny parody of the ending of Halo Reach.
As you may or may not know, I'm not into Halo. Never really got into it. Sounded okay, but not my thing and not when the fans are...well...sometimes like the guys in Awesome Reach. (Go watch it!) Anyway, a thing always bothered me. They call these powersuited guys Spartans, a nothing parodied right here for hilarity because...yeah, they're no Spartans. Why take after the tough guys of ancient Greece when you're assembly is just about anybody you can get who fires a gun straight. Did they perform super-well over all the classes and crush all resistance or fight with the vigor of ten men until dead? I don't know. To emulate a thing, you have to match a thing.
This flash removes the dark clouds looming over such things and spoofs it. However, I would say that soldiers being worried, being more human and less like Spartan, is more real to the Halo story. As I understand it, they act like normal people, so why not be thought of as such? Anyway, I laughed at this and yonder easter egg, so it has my love. Good day to you, guys.
