Excellent job.

The game is exquisitely put together. Everything works amazingly well. and the "Robotron-esque" controls are a very fun diversion from the usual wasd + mouse controls typical in these types of games. And the array of colors present make this a very visually interesting game. This is an astonishing first flash game. Very well done!

On the criticism side, I personally feel that the lack of upgrades, gameplay variation, bosses, and other relevant progressive elements... cause me to lack the will to play it anymore. I had honestly gotten a bit bored of it after I realized that the only thing it offered for surviving was increased difficulty.

I understand that this is often times the nature of simple hi-score driven arcade games, but there are ways to keep the game interesting beyond a few play-throughs.

Anyway, like I said earlier, I think this is a fantastic first flash. It's apparent that you're a forward-thinking, talented, and creative programer. I have no doubt that your future submissions will not only be beautiful, and work exceptionally well, but will also provide enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding gameplay experiences.

its a solid game, for a monkey

haha. its an alright game. not that bad but it gets boring after a bit. its too simple. maybe you could improve it by making upgrades, power-ups, health boosts ect... if you want a score of 9 or 10 you should elaborate the game, make it more than the same old thing of move and shoot. maybe make a few rooms, in stead of being stuck in a single box you could make it so you can go through almost a maze of rooms or something. make it so you can fire different kinds of bullets and have the ability to gain health over time. you have a lot to work on before you turn this game from a simple time killer, worthy of about 30 min max before getting bored, to a game you can play for a few hours and not even notice the time go by.

Needs some more powerups, but I love the paint splatter and then clean-up idea. Got real tough, real fast, and freaking me out, which I enjoyed very much.

Pretty fun.

The "clean-up" effect is an interesting idea as you have no idea where the enemies are unless you clean up the screen of paint. It's also fun to get that "Oh snap" moment when hundreds of squares start chasing after you while you desperately backpedal and shoot, only to be saved by that mega-blast.

Some suggestions: Maybe a shop, or some pick-ups from dead enemies like extra-life or a more powerful weapon? This helps reduce the repetitiveness this game eventually gets.

Also, when you click on the achievement button, the game will go into a never-ending loop going between the menu and the preloader.

A very good first game.
