Spam the spacebar
If you hit the space bar before the tension alert happens you cut your cord if you keep tapping space bar REPEATEDLY you can keep your cord from breaking.

I upgraded the cord length once, and could no longer reach any stars, they were all above me. Why does it say to spam the space bar when pressing the space bar causes the cord to snap immediately?
