First off, how can you tell it's an M16 A2? Even if it's an M16 A3, it's still fully automatic despite firing in three shot bursts. And as it's a fully automatic weapon, fed by a large capacity magazine, then by US law it is designated a machine gun.
Maybe you should do some research next time before opening your mouth and promptly inserting a dick in it.
