Reviews for "The Sagittarian"

Stadium

On this coming zombie attack, I'm going straight to a football stadium with some seeds and some hens.

Great game

Although its too bad theres only one path to survival. I got it second try after going to union my first, might have been helpful to state the difference between the two for people who dont know the area. At least there was logic to the choices. Basically be nice to people and youll get along fine. Thats exactly the stance I'd take in the real thing. Still it would have been nice to see more variation like having your equipment effect your outcome beyond just toolkit or no toolkit. but I know that branching storylines can get out of hand quick, so i must say that you did a good job. atmosphere was nice too. Yeah.

Hyptosis responds:

Hey thanks, yeah I don't think people realize how quickly these branches grow. And there are lots of areas where you can tell I'd planned on giving the player more choices, but was overwhelmed. I think I've learned though and my next one will be better.

Just Random Choices

It seems to me, that the choices you are able to make have no logic. I got bored after I clicked around for a while.

Hyptosis responds:

Yeah, wouldn't be much fun if you knew what was going to happen would it? I didn't finish reading your comment though, I got bored.

Great game!

As IdonaEthred said, it is enjoyable that the game isn't about slaughtering, you have to think before you act. Just like how it should be during an zombie apocalypse.

I think you should have changed the colors for options though, for some reasons. One will be stated here, and I will warn people if they read this;

THIS PART IS A SPOILER TILL THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE ME WRITE IN CAPS.

...........................

Agia, "there is only one way to survive. This is annoying because in the middle of the game you have to choose either to go Union or to St. Clara. As a European have no possibilty to know on which way you might survive. And the other one is a certain death trap (No I wont tell you whcih one :-P ). This is annoying, I want to survive by wise decisions, not sheer luck."

That is correct, there are only two ways.

But here it is tricky.

If you take the way towards St. Clara, the next screen (or the one after) will have a house in the backround, and despite how troublesome it is due to the color, you can see an option saying "Explore" next to it.

...................................

SPOILER ENDED.

As for attitude and character...

You did that part well, each character had their own unique personality, and it wasn't hard to see what kind of person they were.

As for less observant people, I'd also say the 'Mute Music' description should have been more visible, or an icon.

I didn't notice at first that in the backround of the start screen it said "You can mute by using space." myself.

But gameplay vise, it was good for it's type.

I isn't the person that likes "Frame after Frame" games, but rather constant flow. But I'll have to say you pulled this one off great.

So for me, 10/10.

Hyptosis responds:

Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful feedback. It'll help me in sequels. ^_^

Fun but....

when choosing options on what to do it sometimes blends in with the background 5/5 9/10 other than that slight problem good game
