i really don't think it is that intresting
I don't know much about game mechanics, but I can honestly say that as somebody who works in retail, the attacks and their effectiveness are painfully accurate... =.=
Really Good
A good classic grind RPG experience. A few minor details:
Around 2/3rds of the way through, I kept running into kids and parents, which I could one-shot and didn't really give much XP/$$. I'd consider changing your encounter matrix so that they stopped appearing altogether around lvl 10 or so?
There's a thing that looks like a shotgun with a zero next to it, with a hat over that, in the menu. Never figured out what that was, might want to make that more clear?
After beating the game, if I continued my only options were to fight the super-nerd again and the game finished. It would probably be a good idea to let people go back and fight people (including the super-nerd) so they can buy up all the upgrades if they wish.
These things aside, good visuals and fun gameplay.
not too bad
I would have liked to see more customer type, i noticed there are no male parents, no female jocks, to teen customers at all other than the nerd... (I'd like to see maybe a tomboy customer, and maybe preps male and female ) I would have liked to see you battle the boss once you reached level 20, for an end game situation... (which i reached lvl 20 i think around an hour...) i didn't like the idea of a battle system at first, but got used to it... still seems odd to me to choose attack, for a customer... but it's your game good art, good music, a quirky satirical look at game store emplyees... thanks for the creation, and upload
Wonderful
Really fun game, i laughed at the attack names as i hear them used all the time in stores. It is a bit grinding, but I think the victory gives me a sigh of relief. Wonderful game and I like the graphics and concept, but i do wish that there was a more variety in the combat system though pokemon style is still good. What can I do about it? Nothing, so I still enjoy the game the way it is.
