Hilarious, because I have been feeling this for some time now, but yes I feel that the games now a days are pretty cool, but to go back and enjoy the old games is really where its at because you have a new mindset and understanding to really appreciate the awesomeness it is to play old games. Plus it's not just running around shooting people, some are, but those usually are the crappy ones ;).
I was playing CodBO, and I just couldn't wrap my head around getting prestige 15 or whatever, so much time playing one game, is mind numbing and not expanding anything within your mind if you go through that, if not to only learn what you actually put yourself through just to realize that fact... a learning experience. I felt that after getting prestige one was enough for me to really appreciate that game, had some fun moments and all that especially when playing coop online with four friends.
Anyways, I must say that the animation itself isn't the best in this animation, but the script is awesome. Obviously the end is just great, and master chiefs attitude made me mad, but thats exactly how it was supposed to be :).
Keep up the good work and I am especially happy to see an animator speaking their mind, and really bringing up what is awesome.
Just have to say that sooo many things that were implemented in the old video games, seem to not have made it to the new games. Such fun, think of a game like Tyrian 2000...... Why hasn't anyone made a sequel to that? So many games could have the same questions, but sadly these games are destroyed by people just trying to make money.
Sorry for my rant, but I am just adding on to what you are trying to display in this animation. I am glad that you made this animation and I am hopeful that it will win some awards and get the front page, even if the animation is not so good, like I said before the story is.

And your right I don't have time to play these new games straight for thousands of hours....WOW.... thats all I have to say, lots of story to WoW, but all that time spent on one game, is really powerful in terms of forming the mind, breaking the will.
