ok idea but when people try to be deep and then fail miserably it pisses me off. How does remembering your childhood and how your dad made you feel as a kid have anything to with the pricelessness of your father's companionship over the value of objects. Sure his dad did give him a lot of presents as a kid, but other than the fact that many other people had lots of presents bought for their kids it was never reall shown that the main character was poor and that this mattered at. Especially annoying that the fact he had one present for dad was used as some sort of stark contrast in this situation. Most people get one present for mom or dad once their older, so the use of this to that end is flawed to the point where most people would think that he is just reliving that "hidden present" moment with his elderly father to be nostalgic. Which considering the events of the animation would have fit MUCH BETTER. The fact that he hugs his dad in the end is so poorly led up to it pissed me off when it happened. I would not have even bothered time reviewing this and actually liked this flash if you had let the story elements flow better. Instead of just ending it with AWW HE HUGGED HIM HOW DEEP AND CHRISTMASY! Seriously why do people even make these kinds of flash movies, to stretch their fuck damn emotional muscles or something? Do people think their pathetic attempts at displaying deep emotional situations through flash animation is going to make people think they are wizened and emotional people and get them poon or something? For fuck sake how can anyone make something like this and not feel like the biggest tool-douche-poser who ever lived.(COMBO-WORD!) The utter pointlessness of making a 45 second flash animation purely to try to tug at someone's heartstrings so artificially and then have a FORCED ending to make it seem EVEN DEEPER (because you are so deep bra) is ridiculess to the point of infuriation. MOVING ON from my deep seething hatred for this type of flash animation, the artwork was ok and for the story see the above rant.
