Reviews for "Hills of Tuscany"

Wonderful

No1r, you never fail to deliver great music and I don't hesitate to consider you one of the greatest artists on the portal. It's nice to know that there are artists that still retain some of emotion and humanity in their compositions, something I appreciate even more when surrounded by mainstream music, most of which is over-produced to a frayed mess. I'm thankful that you choose to share your talents freely on the net for any music-lover to see the superfluous "fluff" of music cast away and experience the smooth clear sphere of thought and emotion that you share with us.

No1r responds:

Thank you, my friend.

Hills of Sorrow

Hmm, given the title, I can't help but wonder what kind of place this is. The piece is really excellent and the subtleties really shine through. Nice selection of chords and great progression. The piano works so well for this type of piece and doesn't need any accompaniment. Strings could fit in, but it works well without them. Is the piano the FL piano? Sounds pretty good.

In terms of your setting for the song, I really envisioned this being a countryside where things may have gone wrong. Maybe even a small village that had been pulled into WWII or something like that. I get the sense that you bypass this village and get a small view of what it's current state is.

Anyhow, this piece is really great, Fav'd it and I think you'll do really well in the competition with this piece. Good luck!

Hello again Jim,
and again thank you for your reviews. This song came out after a night i spent on the hills near my city .. i should make some photos and show you the beautifulness of these places. But that night really didn't go well, as you imagine.
About the piano: i've used the "Garritan's Personal Orchestra" 's piano..i had a 30 days trial of the VST so i can't use it anymore..it really sounded great.
Good luck to you too, keep in touch.

Beautiful

I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy listening to your work.

Every piece is different in its own way, and never fails to amaze and inspire. Newgrounds is truly blessed to have an artist like you as a contributor, and I believe that the public is blessed as well to have an artist like you to listen to.

Words can't express the beauty in your art.

No1r responds:

Really thank you for your kind words :)
I'm so glad you like my works..

Hauntingly Beautiful

This is the music I sit in my room and only wish I could write.
Me being a violin player, I can only dream of playing piano since bow and piano key don't really go together.
More seriously, this is the first time I've heard your work and it almost makes me think about nostalgic things, more like a man who misses his home or something. This is truly haunting in a good way. Sorry if you didn't mean for it to be haunting.

No1r responds:

Hello Komina!
Well, you say that bow and piano key don't really go together..
What should i say, since,i have long fingernails at my right hand, 'cause i'm a guitarist and it really makes me difficult to play piano keys! ;)
More seriously, thank you for listening and reviewing this song!

I love it!

hey, just wanted to say i made a remix of this.
it truly is a great song!
