really fun! steep curve tho
I have to say, levels 1-4, I was forcing myself to play. Then level 5 hit and I had to wake up and start breaking my thumb on the space bar. Then level 6 hit and I died!
I'd say make the first level shorter, and then the next couple of levels slightly harder, to prepare you for the waves of horror awaiting you... Just my thoughts though!
I gotta say tho Level 5, I was kicking myself for thinking this was a dumb game.
And the music is entertaining enough, good job!
Thanks man! I'll have to see about doing some balancing on this then it seems, didn't really have all that long to think up of how to set up the game play :P I think I spent about 20/30 minutes planning out of my 72 hour competition. I can see what you mean about the learning curve though, I might try sending the harder bad guys in a little slower at first.

Fun and charming
The gameplay itself wasn't anything I haven't seen before, but it was prsented in a really charming way mainly thanks to the graphics and the music. Thanks to this charm it made it stand out a bit more, and so it's overall a solid 8 out of 10. Considering to add this to my favourites. =]

Working on a 96 by 96 canvas was actually really fun, it was nice not having to worry about shading or putting lots of detail into the art. And 8-bit music is probably something I could get into as well.
