just like in waterdude125's case, i have encountered the same problem.
it is on the 2nd level. you can't swim in the water yet and you have to kill those two guards and the first pyramid. if you die on the screen with the pyramid, when you come back; if you have killed the guard, it's diamond will be just deep enough that you walk over it not picking it up. The bat if you didn't kill it is gone and the pyramid if you didn't destroy it is also gone.
in my case as in waterdude125's case, because you can't get the one diamond and because the bat is gone thus depriving you of a diamond, you then can not open the second gate which requires 8 diamonds.
hopefully the author will take note of this bug report and fix his program.
i also think some kind of background music would help the game very much.
