Good original idea, executed fairly well, however unenjoyable on a mouse pad. The control scheme was just to fiddly to use with my mouse pad, it was hard to move between my buzz-bots to check which was the one i wanted to reproduce and the click drag was frustrating. Perhaps a click to go/attack and double click to select control scheme would have been easier, maybe putting an option to switch controls ?
Good graphics, th buzzbots would change depending on which of the various attributes changed. original idea, executed well, good game, just unenjoyable on my mouse pad.

Very nice game.

The evolution AI is impressively smart. Whenever I went up against the boss, armor never did me any good, just slowed me down. I promoted speed and damage, and soon enough had a big swarm of bugs, dying every second, yet pumping out two more for each death (I had 3 working to expand the hive). Needless to say, the bosses fell pretty easily. I also have to say that saberblade must not of figured out the purpose of this game. The purpose is to adapt. You don't need a mutation square to do it, just need to reproduce the bugs with the traits you favor.

Level 10 is messed up. You get bots with long turrents and high damage. But the enemy will breed fast bots, and yours have very low ability to turn their guns and low rate of fire. So the enemy bots fly circles around your guys and you cant do anything because the AI keeps turning to the closest bots so when you kill one bot, all your bots turn to the closest enemy, which may be a flyer that got behind them, and the enemy takes all the hexes while you are still turning. Give the long turrent bots more aglitily so that they can kill the enemy.
Did you even playtest your levels?!

The game was good

The game was a fun game to play, but that level where you only get the high range and high damage bots was annoying and tedious, so I stopped playing.
