Reviews for "Haxic Text Adventure"

Need to do a little bit more than this

I mean, I loved the old text game days, but this just needed more than just a few senerios. But you do get some brownie points, most people don't know that small Gators can and do climb trees.

Mariofan9 responds:

Alright, thanks.

I like these kinda games...

But this game is way to short, and it needs more endings/paths instead of every other choice leading to death.

Mariofan9 responds:

Ah. It was a simple experiment, but I'll add more next time I make on of these. ;)

Too easy.

A text adventure is one thing, but this is just a multiple choice quiz. I would suggest putting a little more effort into the next one and let us actually type. :)
2, 3, 2, 2, 1, 2
Not very long either.

Mariofan9 responds:

Alright, I will try that next.

Not too bad

The "game" wasn't too bad - not a very elaborate scenario, and this is not truly a text-based game, where you really type the commands, but rather a multiple-choice game, in the same fashion of those "Books in which you are the hero". A little more attention could have been given for the presentation - grey on grey is pretty plain. Of course, I understand this is a simple Haxic experiment/assignment, but you could always add an interface, where it remains a choice-based game, but you actually see the actions after you select them.

Mariofan9 responds:

I appreciate the criticism. I will do better next time, and see if I can add more options and actual graphics. Thank you for your review.

its ok

it is ok but it is too short and needs to be expanded if you want it to go any where(which i guess you dont)

and do you know how to conver the programs you have written in haxic.swf into a flash file so it is a game on its own

Mariofan9 responds:

OK, I will try to make a better one later.

You need the Haxic compiler. You can find it in the creator's blog.
