Reviews for "Armed with Wings 3"

Why isn't this... the featured game?

Not that I have anything against Jazza, but that particular mini-game is really nothing compared to this. (That said, Larry and the Gnomes is one of my top 10 flash games... ever.)

But to this game: I loved it

Most of my reviews are 10/10, simply because I review flashes that I like. Or hate. In which case they're 0/0. Anyway... In this case I'd have you given you more than 10/10 would that have been possible. Why?

Because I love how this series has improved. The first two... particularly the first itself, was utterly frustrating to the point of tears when it came to controls and collision detection. It was playing a platformer with broken physics. And though I know of one specific part... in this game where I had problems (dying over and over again due to bad controls) the controls themselves were highly improved. And the platforming parts weren't nearly as psychotic as well.

And then there's the incredible art, story telling, the bosses (I do admit, I was disappointed on how weak most of them were... apparently attacking them interrupts their attacks?)

The leveling up system also... added a lot too. It made the game feel... user friendly. Anyhow. I'll stop ranting and go back to playing it. I've already beaten it once... so yeah.

Good day and good work.

Cheerio!

Played all 3

The control in this one is perfect. That was the only thing wrong with the series, the story was awesome, the concept, the art, the music, everything, except for the controls, was epic, but this one fixed that problem.
Outstanding game I may say!

awesome

awesome game dude u really came a long way since the first one

wee, the teleport is godlike :D

i played all of the version and this is a really great series.
i love the teleport skill, and also would like to know how u can make such a skill with out crash. btw this part puzzle is not as hard of 2...

Such rubish!

No, not rubish, but I just thought it was hilarious and emersion breaking that the final boss said "rubish" to you after the fight was over. Typos make all the difference in the world.
Now down to the real review:
It was a decent game, though a bit slippery on the movement and sticky on the controls. Maybe next time make sure when you have the controls changed from bird to human, the movement keys arent stuck in place. Another real problem waas the boss fights, because for the most part, it was spam the sword till they die and you move on with your life. I found swarms of mobs, or even one of those ground skulls if it had more health, to be harder than all the bosses in the game. The giant skull boss was the only one of which I found I needed at least some strategy. The final boss was a snoozefest, just spamming that rediculous sword combo on him till he tried something, then teleporting behind him so it did nothing to me. You get so much special just from hitting the guy while he stands there like a moron, that teleporting costs were insignificant. Not to mention that the final boss attacks were so predictable and took so long to charge that if you didn't dodge them you should be embarrased.
I give you 7/10 because the bosses were only a small part of the game, and overall I liked the level designs, even if the controls and movement were kind of slippery. The puzzles made up for it, and that's how your score was based.
I actually was forced to skip an entire cutscene because i happened to be holding down the spacebar when the level ended by mistake, which skipped it. Great.
