A bad knockoff of Fishy

A lot of other games have used the same concept and done it better. Your stage is just small enough and movement just fast enough to feel claustrophobic. The hammerhead sharks do not spawn fully offscreen, which both looks awkward when they blink suddenly into existence, and basically makes the danger zone on the screen's edge an inch or so wider than it actually looks since their heads blink into existence already onscreen.
Having some variety in the enemies is a cool idea, but since they come in so many different shapes it's almost impossible to be positive when it's safe to eat them. The game gives no indicator that I can see to help that.
Enemies' hitboxes seem badly defined, and larger than the enemies actually appear. Your own character though is limited to a very small area around the mouth to catch prey, which is a pain given how jerky the controls are. Finally, including a lives mechanic is useless when you lose all progress every time you lose a life anyway.
Did I mention the controls are jerky?
