Reviews for "Excess"

End was Predictable.

What.......even happened.....

KartuneHustla responds:

you can read I-own-alls response. I don't feel like retyping

What?

Welllllllll...it started off good enough, but wtf happened? I mean, there wasn't too much to the story, but at least you had the a good animation all set up and a monster who spews candy...I just never anticipated the ending, and frankly it didn't make much sense to me. Was there any point to this? Why did the monster suddenly become evil? Am I missing something?

I like this art style, but I thought it would be a comedy rather than...whatever it is.

KartuneHustla responds:

Well, there is a story. I want people to take away whatever they can from it, but what I intended was it to be a story based on greed on both the boy and the monster. The monster would continue to eat out of excess, not stopping no matter how big it got (gluttony). After the boy fed him the forbidden egg, he notices it produces a ton of candy. He could have walked away after getting a load of candy. He doesn't need anymore, but he gets greedy and feeds the monster anyways. Hopefully that explanation explains it a bit better

You take innocence and poison it

That is good. one thing could could have been more clear was the ending. the skull didnt make it clear enough for me and it barely even looked like a skull. if you fix that this could be a 10. other than that. very great story

KartuneHustla responds:

Yeah I probably should have made the skull a bit more human like. I was getting close to the deadline so I rushed the skull no lie! But thank you for enjoying it nonetheless

well.....

nice animation but WTF was this ?

KartuneHustla responds:

It's a metaphor for greed and excess, but hey, it's not for everybody

Nice style

I really like your animation style. Everything was very smooth and it has a seance of Nostalgia. The storyline was really cool and everything flowed along really nicely.

well done !!

KartuneHustla responds:

Glad you enjoyed it
