Reviews for "Road of the Dead"

Awsome sauce

Evil dog+Sick Death Friend....match made in hevan...i love evuil dogs games and sickdeath friends stuff but this is zombie gold! cant wait to see more from you both! and awsome voice staff and sound effects!! Grade A stuff!

Overall: Very, very good

I would normally write a longer review than the following, but I have to go in about 10 minutes. So, here we go!

Atmosphere: Amazing. There's a feel that the characters are actually in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
Music: Very good. The music does its work and intensifies the gaming experience.
Voice acting: Hit and miss, mostly hit. There were a few lines where the actor is trying to sound as if he's really mad, but falls short (for example, the "goddamnit!" line of the army officer as his plan of falling back to chinatown gets shot down). Mostly its very much above average voice work, but what really caught my attention was the occasional maniacal laughter heard from the panicking citizens. That was great!
Gameplay: Very good, but not perfect. Throughout the game I always felt the car is a bit too wide, and that thought was proven trough when my on-fire-Mustang seemingly scratch the tire of a semi and blew up. To be honest, looking at the death screen at that point I absolutely refuse to believe the car even touched the truck. There were also many moments where I feel from my own driving experience that either a) I really should have been able to get past these 2 cars without bumping into both or b) I really, really should not have hit those spikes.
I know, I know, American cars ARE very wide, but this wide they are not. Maybe this is partially due to me thinking the view was from the left front seat, but I'm not sure anymore.
The second gameplay point that bugged me is the helicopters. I feel there needs to be some other way to get rid of them than trying to make them back into to those tiny road signs at the sides of the highway. I would think there'd be some overhead signs on a highway too, not just ones on the sides.
Thirdly, I wish that hitting a stopped car would result in different results depending on where you hit it. As I mentioned before, scratching the front wheel of a truck has way too much impact on the driving.
Despite all that the gameplay was very enjoyable, and I definitely loved playing through this game.

On a sort of miscellaneous note, I thought that the main character's comments on the upgrades were a bit silly just after reading them from the upgrade menu myself.

Shit! I'm late!

FUCKING GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT AO AWSOME but it goes to slow when your waiting to play can u plaes fix that

EPIC

I say Undead Highway and thought "Oh, a zombie game you can drive a car in!" I played it, and to my disappointment, you could not drive a car. Then I read the description "Build wild and wacky weapons" and to even more disappointment, I became furious when it automatically put together the marbles and the shotgun. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wanted the joy of sifting through items. Then I saw this game on the homepage, and wondered If I would feel the same disappointment. I loaded the game and when I saw the under-appreciated preloader, I started to slump in my seat. When I got done loading, I prepared, slowly hovered the mouse to the 'Click Here', and hoped for the best. To my surprise, I LOVED it. It is much better than I expected, and totally satisfied me more than Undead Highway. The graphics seem so simple, yet so realistic. The windows even break, and you can upgrade your car, you can sound the horn and wipe blood off your window. Honestly, this game gave me NO disappointment. To everybody who took part in the creation of this game, youve really outdone yourselves.

i think it's the best game i've played all day

very good graphics :D
