Reviews for "Winter Dance Sim-Date"

I made you a sandwich.

That made me laugh. This was an original and interesting game for me, I quickly found out how it all worked and ended up being a 600 HP behemoth just before the prom. There's a bit of humour, and although I had to play as a GIRL I didn't actually mind too much, since most of the guys looked like girls and I could just pretend to be a guy. Quite a sweet game, and it's one that I'll remember for far longer than most others on this site.

If you added sound effects and slightly more variation between the places it could have been better, but this is a great start. Having to choose what to say, then move my cursor up to the top of the screen to talk again got annoying. Perhaps you could use keyboard buttons to navigate these chat menus as well as the mouse.

Solstiyce responds:

Thank you so much for reviewing! I logged on and saw this and my jaw literally dropped, "someone took notice!!?"
Thank you so much for reviewing, and telling us what you thought about it. We're very glad you enjoyed it so much :)

This is our first ever dating sim (and my very first time on Flash ><"), we didn't put a lot of thinking into sound at all, so thank you, we'll definitely be incorporating sound and music into our next dating sim :)

Once I find out how to utilize keyboard shortcuts, I'm definitely going to incorporate that too.

Again.. Thank you!!

really fun and the characters are cute...

there is one glitch that stops this game from being a little bit better. if you click on the menu button twice, it brings you to the store and tells you that you don't have enough HP (to do what, I'm not sure)
other than that, the game is fun :)
some of the characters are absolutely adorable (Daniel Sullivan being my favorite)
by the way, correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like you've gathered some of your inspiration from Pacthesis (it's possible that you even took her dating sim tutorial :P)
forgive me if I'm wrong about that...

Solstiyce responds:

Thanks for the glitch :O I never noticed that!
(Daniel Sullivan is modelled off one of the developer's significant other <3)
We actually did learn from her tutorial! But all she had was the buttons and which answers to choose, we had to learn the variables and other stuffs ourselves ^^
Pacthesis is our greatest inspiration, and has given us tips before too! :)

I will admit to playing it through multiple time, just to get all the ending pictures (at least the pictures you get when saying "yes" to one of the boys). I loved the ending pictures because they were a visual epilogue - something you don't see in dating sims.
Some more tasks to do would be awesome. When playing through for Mac, I just made money and slept which is kind of boring. Also, as someone else mentioned, there doesn't seem to be much point to the classes. Three of them can be used to get $10/10hp jobs, the wealth class didn't seem to do anything, but otherwise serve no purpose (they don't develop the character for better jobs or a better chance at getting so-an-so to like her).
Kind of cool to be playing a girl, so pluses there.

Well structured, neat and flows well. The characters are all interesting as is the art.
Normally you shouldn't be able to go above a certain amount of HP though.
Good game overall.

Well, I love this game! its one of my favorites! I know this is old, but I'm going to give a short review on it anyways :3 the plot was lovable, it just needed more depth, events, and why not,.... secret endings :3
