Reviews for "The Store"

Poorly done

Seems like a rip-off of the much better game, Recordshop Tycoon, but doesn't take into effect some of the features of the other game, such as customer satisfaction and its impact on pricing.

The introduction of thieves was pretty awesome, but annoying since fast-forward automatically deactivates when a thief comes onscreen, something not mentioned in the tutorial, and can steal directly from your register. Seriously, in real life, no thief can steal from a register just by walking up to it and running away. I mean, doesn't a stick up take time to finish? Also, why can't I catch the thief when I'm literally clicking on his head?

Another thing missing is the stereotypical "demo" stations you can find in videogame stores. There are NO upgrades save cashier, ads, and stores; i.e., no shelf upgrades, no way to change the layout of the store, no way to change the "feel" of the store, etc.

The restocking function got really old after a while, as in after two days. Constantly having to click Restock>Auto restock was, well, a waste of two clicks.

And, annoyingly, an ad pops up after every 4 or so days that I have to wait 30 seconds just to get past. I don't mind ads in the preloader, but during the game? Come on.

Finally, just a few things that bugged me while playing this game. First, why is there a reward for capturing felons? I know it's meant to be an incentive for you, but that rarely happens in real life (and you're never actually compensated in merchandise such as games). Second, what happened with the graphics? I don't think I've seen such simplistic graphics for such a long time - about 4-5 years long. And third, all these games retail for approximately the same price. How can WoW be worth so much less than MBS if both are around the same price?

However, you do deserve some stars for your creative naming of the games and your attempt at creating a tycoon-style game. I'm sure it's difficult, never having done it myself.

WOW

Fail remake of Dj store Tycoon

Rowkilla responds:

No Idea what that game even is but alright

Pretty bad.....could be better

i hate it when i have fast forward on, and a thief comes, so i stop the fast forward, then when i go to click on the thief, it goes back to fast motion automatically! You should also make it restock automatically anyway.

Bad intro

The intro if kind of cheesy and doesnt make a lot of sence. The game is nice, but I dont think that intro is the way to set it up.

AHH, Im so full of rage! I think i'll open up my own retail store! That will show em!

Nice but I want moar!

I finished by day 20 thanx to a thief giving me 30 metal bear solids which I sold for 400 each. In fact the theif paid for all my upgrades. 4 $800 dollar tags go a long way but you can lose also if he steals 1k and he is only worth 200. Games are cool but how about accessories like a ps2 to play the game on or controllers? I wouldn't mind some customers buying 2 items either. Says he has 1.2k but buys a measely 35 dollar game. Freaking cheapo. Basically just playing to see how much of a jerk I can be to my customers now. Thank goodness you added an auto restock cause there was no way I was going to manually put 40 world of weiners on the shelf by hand. It sounds mean but I wouldn't mind having a rival shop next door so I can watch all of his customers come to me instead.
