but i still cant figure what is the secret medal

Highly Well Realized

(technically I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 but NG doesn't support that sort of system)

Hey there; you might like to know that this is the game that's convinced me to create an account on this site, just to share how I felt about it. And, it was very good :)

Altho it borrows a lot from the likes of Portal (like others have said), that does not bother me @ all. I actually haven't played Portal (yet) or many derivatives, and besides today I wasn't seeking a game w/ a wholly original story. Instead I was looking for a game w/ challenge and some fun puzzle and platforming elements, and that's exactly what I got.

The visuals are a nice throwback to the NES era of 8-bit, and the music (particularly the opening theme) is nice to listen to and didn't grate on me. The mechanics-once past the learning curve-are intuitive and the controls mostly help w/ that. On that front there was a weird thing w/ me where when I tried doing a telejump going to the *left*, I often got a regular jump instead. Keep in mind I did not switch to using the shortcut 'f' key for the jumps as I had grown accustomed to the method beforehand, but that's a criticism I have only for some diagonal-left telejumps.

The challenge level is *very* high, but that's partly due to me not being used to this sort of platformer, and mainly b/c it seems it was genuinely meant to be that way but staying completely fair the entire time. The levels require good strategy and creativity, and the game has a very old-school mentality in terms of it's difficulty where the player should expect to die-a lot-and learn thru trail and error. I really like that mentality b/c most mainstream games today do *way* too much handholding and babying for the player. Each level finished (btw I cleared them all w/o using cheats or the skip, probably 4 hours total on and off x3) felt like a real accomplishment.

I particularly liked the level w/ the several moving platforms that gave you no time to stand there and analyze the level playing out passively. It gave a sense of urgency that I wished more of the other levels did (tho they were not easy either).

If I could suggest any improvements, it'd be to add a selectable difficulty level (the skip is good but I didn't feel too pressured a lot of times 'cuz I knew I had, say, infinite lives), varying objectives for levels (each one had the same goal of getting to the exit, but it'd be nice if I had to maybe escort another person thru the level who didn't have the q.shadow ability, or find and deactivate switches), and apparently characters w/ actual differences in ability (have not replayed the game yet but I keep hearing the other chars are just palette swaps). I guess a better story would help too but for me, in a platformer that comes secondary to the controls, level design, and mechanics.

Keep up the awesome job :)

dude,

This game is awesome! it's kinda frustrating in the tutorial when you have ho clue how to control the teleporting, but once you learn, it's a snap! the levels feel satisfying to complete!

kind of portal-like, but different enough mechanics. Good job!

This game is great

The gameplay was amazing, The 'good' ending got me and the easter egg was great.
