wonderful piece! I love how it goes from an ethnic aesthetic, to piano ballad, to rock-fueled symphonic grandeur. a great fit for the emotions that this character goes through.

I absolutely love all the instruments, and the mood was engrossing. You did an excellent job of conveying different moods here: apprehension, anger, then acceptance, and even longing. The progression is simply fantastic. When the guitar came in at 2:31, it really contributed a lot to the energy of the piece, and I love the violins' melody at 3:16. You really stuck with the theme of the piece throughout, and it really plants an image in my head of this grim, determined soldier who goes through revelations about himself and his world by going to war. That piano outro was hauntingly beautiful! Amazing, amazing work! :D A stand-out track in NGADM, for sure (and that's saying something!). ;D
