Simple, maybe too simple
To start, I know it's for Clock Day, and Clock Day things aren't always of....high quality. Either way though, if it's going to be a front page game, I'm going to be critical of it if it isn't top quality.
The good:
The upgrades were nice. It was great to have something to work towards. The enemy set was somewhat diverse in health and defense making the upgrades a necessary part of playing.
The bad:
It was far too easy. I exerted pretty much zero effort playing it. I actually regret buying the bomb and health upgrades, as I didn't need them at all to win. Speed and Power were the two deciding factors.
The enemies didn't properly go up in value. I realize that it was set up so that the second tier of enemies would basically start at the beginning of the score spectrum, but it made maxing out stats basically impossible. Why were the horseman worth 50 and the toughest clock only worth 40?
There was the single super laser. Why no weapon upgrades with individual stats for each weapon or something along those lines? From the beginning I knew it would be easy with something that can hit every enemy on the field in a matter of seconds.
The waves never really got difficult. This basically ties in with the first part of "The bad." On the final view waves, I expected it to be hectic, to actually miss an enemy or two. Nope. Only one enemy got through the entire time, and it didn't even make my health deteriorate a little.
It was a solid attempt, but in the end, it was too easy and too short. There are tons of better defense games out there at this point than this one.
