Not too bad
it's playable which cannot be said for most first flash games I didn't really get into the story but it was entertaining. next time you should make a freeplay mode where you just go up until you lose your shields. also try not to use gradients so much, and animate your own fire and meteorites like you did after you break out of the atmosphere

this was the guys first game, and a pretty good one at that. the graphics are nice, the music is good, the story is interesting, and while it may be similar to other games, its still pretty good. it may be a reboot, but im willing to give it a 9 for doing a great job job on your first game.

2012 will not happen so dont make stuff about it or you will make everyone freak and buy bomb shelters then go broke and have no money! and EVEN RUSSIA IS FREAKING OUT! they have enough underground bomshelters for the whole world and some place in india even! DONT ENCOURAGE THEM!

releasing this game is just polluting Newgrounds with a terribly overdone "toss the turtle" sort of genre. The graphics and atmosphere ARE pretty nice, but the gameplay is just bland and offers nothing new from what I've seen before. Since this IS your first game, I'll go easy on you and provide four stars, but at any other rate it would only get one.

For your first game- no, for any game, this is pretty good. It was repetitive though, which made you lose a mark, but the length was good, as was the upgrading. I enjoyed playing.
