add some enemies that shoot back or explode if you get near them, just up the difficulty.

It has potential
Although there is no objective at the current time, due tp the fact that it is in fact an alpha, it has potential. You should create a way to switch what type of fire (Auto/Burst/Single).
If you want to keep it as a shooting range type game, you should add a time limit, a points system, and give a bonus for hitting more than one target with a single shot (the shots do travel through targets once they have been hit).
If you don't plan to keep it as a shooting range, it could easily be a fun arena type game, just add levels, or a time limit, a system for scoring, and you should be set.

You can't hit targets past the last fifth of the screen! You should really try these things out yourself first before posting them up here. It helps you avoid embarrassing situations like having bullets not reach the end of your shooting range.
Also, try adding in some sort of effect or sound or really any sort of recognition that targets have been hit instead of just having them disappear. It's... anti-climatic.
