I quite liked it!
I thought that was an interesting and unique power (as well as movie) , and I do quite enjoy that book! Like you said, at times it was partially slow, but that did not detract from the enjoyment of this film. Would like to see more in the future!

Neat little flash.
Its a great submission, the artwork and quality of the animation are top notch. Only reason I took points off was for the lack of creativity used. While I find the trick with the gun tied to a bit of strong interesting I cannot over look "The Sharp Shooters" likeness to Spike, not only in how they are smokers, nor how they seem to wear the same cloths. The color of the hair and suit are moot points. This character IS Spike. You changed some features but in the end you have copied someone's character to the letter. I say keep up the great animation, but out of respect for other artists I would PERSONALLY go back to the drawing board with your design.
I can understand people saying my character reminds them Spike or similar to Spike, but I can not agree with you saying I "copied" the character, and I take that as an insult.
You probably didn't, but if you have actually found a picture of Spike and compared to them side by side, you would know their faces are different, their hairs are different, they don't wear the same style of suits, and they also wear suits differently.
The major things they have in common are smoking, guns, and they both wear suits, there are tons of characters have the such features. Base on your definition of originality, Spike would be a copy of Detective John Hartigan from Sin City, or Vash the Stampede, since they are both "Sharp Shooters".
Origionality.
Well I can honestly say that's origional. I mean I've seen Spike from cowboy bebop, and I've seen Lupin from Lupin the third, but I have never seen the two combined in a newgrounds trailer. *clap clap* Can't wait to see Gene Starwind combined with Liono or something of that sort. *eye-twitch* Looks ok though. Well done, would make a Nice game, wouldn't watch the movie though.
