I've never actually tried to connect with one of the random bubbles, but yes, it's possible. I've played with my friend (Jon) several times.

I've only briefly played Fable II and even if I hadn't this would still be funny to me.
The animation, voice acting and dialogue are all top notch so you get 5/5 and 10/10, it was very well done and I hope to more, maybe when Fable III comes out?
