Rain

Ah Rain, one thing I know lots about living in the UK:) This trk is quite descriptive, with the synths reflecting the sound of droplets splashing off the window pane. Your choice of sounds in this trk are very fitting, especially the thunder esq sound that comes in as the trk builds. Definately my favourite of your recent submissions. Good simple interlacing riffs and effective drum programming make for a very good descriptive piece.
Nice.

LJCoffee responds:

Thanks you again, this one and Slumber are my favorites of the four that I submitted. I'm glad you liked it.

I haven't been over to listen to your newer stuff - I'll need to do that over the weekend!

talk to you later

A beautiful background piece.

I think it works better without any actual rain sfx.

I find that this piece didn't work so well when I was sitting and listening to it through. I mean, like a previous reviewer said, whilst it did get pretty interesting with all the layers going on, I'd have liked some more variations, maybe some more little melodies.

You know My Latest Novel/Sigur Ros? I was thinking it'd be cool if it just had maybe the various instruments kinda taking turns.

However, when you're putting it on in the bg, it does work wonderfully as a chill-out piece.

For a laid-back game, it's about ideal. My only (very slight) gripe in that role is that I'm not too keen on the way it loops.

I'm gonna use it as the bgm for my new gametype if you don't mind.

LJCoffee responds:

Great - at the time of my response, I've already talked to you about some extra sxf for the game - I'm happy that you decided to use it though and I'll get those fx to you as soon as I can.

thanks again!

Love

I love these kind of Ambient tracks. Slow paced strings and fast paced drums. Well, moderate paced drums, at least. Now the string tunes are simple, but doesn't make it anyless awesome. But it's in the percussion i can tell where your effort has been focused. The hip-hop beats felt ill placed in the beginiing, but when you've listened to it a couple of times you can't imagine what you should put there instead. I also noticed that the end is just the same as the intro, only it's played in reverse. Very nice!

Downloaded, and fived. I'll have to search a long time before i find Songs that can match up to this one :)

Thanks man - I'm glad you liked it!

nice one

the very very intro, was sweet. sharp and surprising. i like this track already. the 'hi-hat' part suits it nicely. sounds very wet and squelchy. in terms of style this is rural, almost native american sounding track. WAHEY and its got a 3rd section, really like that percussive trickle thing. and the thunderclaps kicks. i think this take top spot for me out of the ambient tracks of yours. could have done with more build up perhaps a higher more elevated melody to come in at a peak in the track. very nice anyway. 9!

LJCoffee responds:

Thanks - this piece was originally intended to be wwwwaaaaayy longer but at some point I decided to chop it down and submit it - I'd probably still be working on it if I didn't... Once it was chopped up I'm sure that it lost something but.. well... that's how it goes.

Great mood builder

This would be a great track to listen to while sitting in the bath reading sci fi (or whatever). Lately I've been attracted to music that sets a mood but doesn't demand my attention as much. This is a perfect example of that, so good job! I can certainly hear the rain in my mind. thanks!

LJCoffee responds:

Thanks - I'm very glad to get some feedback on these latest tracks.
