Deserves a 7
I rated 5 on the Pico scale because Flash like this needs to be encouraged. Right off the bat: The graphics, music, sfx, etc are RIGHT on the money. It's just like an NES game. And I love the retro stuff, Bionic Command (NES and Rearmed versions) are personal favorites of mine, I also enjoy Ristar which has a similar grappling hook mechanic. I'm giving this a 7 because the control is a let down. If you've played Bionic Commando, Ristar, and etc you have to unlearn some things to play this. Huge disappointment that you can't aim the grappling hook, it's stuck in that one position, and you can't swing either, which is a huge hindrance. I've also noticed that when I'm tapping X repeatedly, sometimes the streamer doesn't come out and I fall and die. Otherwise it's very good, I can't say that enough, but the controls hold it back. If you're able to program a directional that we can swing off of and such this game would have been a 10.
