why didnt you just made the conrtols arrow keys thats more easy and why won't make sonic a the character and more and make sure that happens ok..........
Change cursor
Movement of the cursur is very unintuitive. It is hard to judge acceleration and direction, and because of the absolute values of direction it takes more time to switch from going in one direction (e.g., left) to going in the opposite direction (right). This problem wouldn't exist if you'd center the cursor on the ball (i.e., ball as the locus of direction).
