Reviews for "Pierce the Darkness"

Well done on coming third!
This is one of the most enjoyable songs I have heard in the last couple of weeks.
The first minute, the piano driven piece, was lovely. For me, I couldn't stop thinking of Russian aristocracy dancing in a grand hall before 1917. After that things get darker, the outbreak of war and the realisation that not all is well.
I have been reading a lot of Ken Follet recently so that's perhaps why I got that imagery from the piece.
As I said, I really enjoyed it!

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thank you sir! I'm honored that you found this so enjoyable. I can easily imagine what you have written while listening to this. It's kind of neat to get different angles from the same piece of music!

I'm liking it a lot!

At around 1:05 some really heavy drums would do well to build the suspense as well as near the end, but that's just me.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thank you! There's some taiko in there, but I didn't want it to be overwhelming. Thanks for the review!
