Reviews for "Tower of Doom!"

great but flawed

I agree with everyone else here tbh, kind of repetitive(which I don't mind tbh), no strategy involved, no 'total destruction' animation or so, a different one for each level(like a huge wave on the island, or a volcanic eruption or rock slide in a level with mountains)
I really really hope that you're gonna make a sequel, with more towers(try making two different paths for towers, or even more) like a magma tower or fire arrow tower by combining a magic/fire tower or a fire/arrow tower...
stuff like that will make it feel way less repetitive and give a nice twist to the strategy
also, MORE towers in general, as in, a higher limit to what you can build... or no limit at all ;)
if you continue this idea and tweak it a bit, expand it and take my advice with you, I think you could really have a game rivalling Age of War

err

repetitive.. 100%, just more starting gold each level.. and humans..

just use magic tower 100%, upgrade dmg, your sure win until the end..

short game.. done already.. few mins.. never lost.. good thing i read some reviews.. herherherherher >:)

danger? catapult? more like, danger! its a rat! as big as an atom...... -.-

READ THIS: Here's what to improve upon

First off, it was decent. The game ran well, no tech bugs. It looked nice too: clean, shiny, and a lil' cartoony, but hey, thats better than going for realistic and running into fail.

WHAT BROUGHT DOWN TEH FUN:
1. music. way to repetitve. Don't get me wrong, it's a bad ass song; Space Pirates is one of my favs. But switch it up. It too gets old.
2. Uber Easy. Build a bunch of magic levels tower things and upgrade them. They're OP. It's PRETTY MUCH all I had to do. Ruins Strategy.
3. It cost to build each level the same as every other level. THIS REALLY BROUGHT THE FUN DOWN. It ruined strategy a bit. Took away ALOT of motivation to switch up diferent towers, but now, I have all the more reason just to stick with just magic. Not much motivation to biuld fire if all that money that went into magic upgrade doesn't go to it while I could build a magic and it will be just as strong as the rest. AND magic didn't lower in damage dealt between enemies hit. So for each guy a bolt of magic touched it did the same amount of damage: not cool. SO! Next time: each tower type has seperate price, individual layers are upgraded, balance power of tower types.
4. No reason to build arrow tower. It's as expensive as the rest but sucks. So.. why build it when you could just build a magic? There isn't a reason.
5. Static bachground. come on, I switch lands and it looks EXACTLY the same. it felt like I was playing the same level twice (or more!) which really hurts having people continue playing your game.

LIL' THINGS THAT MADE ME GO "Ughh" BUT DIDN'T REAAALLLY HURT GAMEPLAY:
1. Didn't get to see the big destruction spell I've been fighting for go off and kill peoples. Disappointing.
2. Very generic enemies with very generic deaths.
3. No background story.
4. Your sound controls are hard to find, but i'm going to blame myself on this one. Probabily my bad eye sight...

WHAT YOU DID AWESOME:
1. Super concept dude. I like the idea a tower defence like this. It's inovative. I like how you go underground and the menu looked like the rest of the tower. Sweet.
2. Fluid animation. Nothin' choppy. Tower came up and bounced a lil' which was coolio looking. Good job. Magic bounced off nice.
3. Liked the feel the game gave as you pwned troops. T'was sweet.

SO! I hope that helped. A comment letting me know you atleast read this would be kinda sweet. I really just hope it helps cuz I really see a whole lot of potential in your game. Just keep going, keep making, and you'll create something awesome :) Good luck!

Very Entertaining

liked it

cool

missing a few things, i.e stacking magics OP, but good game
