Side mouth tastic!
Your animation is really nice and edgy, especially how fast it snaps to the other movement. The voice and the song was great, really went well with the style.
Also as for side mouth, I honestly think he symbolizes your inner self, the one who always want to show off and be all ecstatic. (I'm not insulting you :P) And really added to the comical relief to it.
And the choice of colors, too. Really nice :) The way how its all pale-ish really sets the tone and simplicity of the whole animation.
