Reviews for "Destructo-Truck"

Great, but not perfect

It's a decent enough game, but the costs for the upgrades need a bit tweaking. In the beginning, it's very slow going at getting the upgrades. At the end, you get them rather quickly.

The weather balloon frequency seems alright. I can usually manage to hit at least 3 per bounce on a good run, however the propane tanks (is that what they say on them?) and gas stations show up a bit too rarely. The way it is now, barreling through buildings on the ground is almost certain death. For some reason the frequency is higher only in the first mile. Why???

My last complaint is with the Truck Fairy ability. It almost always resets the smashstreak meter, making it nearly useless when going for the larger smashstreak abilities. I realize that it may be something that's supposed to require skill to hit a building instead of dirt when using it, but when you're going that fast, it's definitely more luck than skill.

Pretty fun.

It was a great timewaster.

Fun game, could use a tweak or two

Great toss game, but I have a slight problem with the Truck Fairy smash streak. Too often it smacks you downwards and resets your smash streak to zero. Power up's were meant to help, not hurt :P In a perfect world I would have the truck fairy hit you at the same angle the ramp was set at.

Good

The mechanics of this game are great, and it's super addicting. There are a ton of upgrades, but I feel like there could have been ever more.

The biggest problem is that after a certain point, the game becomes nearly impossible. Unless you get super lucky and happen to smash a string of gas stations (which is the only boosting building after a certain point it seems) you will invariably come to a stop.

I tried using a fairy to keep me boosted to 120 when I could refuel my rocket, but even with this I rarely make it to the Mammoth. Once you get the mammoth of course, making it to 300 isn't that hard, but I'm out of smash upgrades since I pretty much needed the fairy to make it to 120.

So basically what I'm saying is that the game needs one or two more explosive or super-bouncy items to keep it going.

Cool

Very nice. But once you get all the upgrades it's a little pbthpb. Wouldn't it be cool if after about 20km you suddenly hit a metropolis and were crashing through skyscrapers? Food for thought.
