Original, fun, and challenging.
This game is so gloriously simple -- what can your character do? Move and jump. That's it. As great as the skill set for a platforming game could be. This, of course, means that the entertainment to be drawn from such a simple game leans wholly on the design of the mechanics and levels, and that is where this game hits a grand slam. The multiple worlds all affecting each other is truly elegant, simple but complex, allowing great puzzles that are certainly understandable while also giving opportunity for difficulty. The only things that could use work would be the music (the one track is very nice, but, I mean, it is one track, heh) and the lack of any story whatsoever.
You have done very well, Computer Science class at U-Dub. What I hope is that you'll take this same mechanic and perhaps change the aesthetic to something that could fit a great storyline to get some drama in this. I hope you continue your studies in game creation and are able to up your productions in terms of scale.

We are unsure of how to do a good story, we will look into that later in the year.
We have a set of about 8 songs now, they should be added on Sunday.
