I thought the whole plot of getting killed for a desired object like a video game only to have it taken by a third person is always a classic. Great job!!!

Disappointingly mediocre
The biggest fault I find in this is using Mario and Luigi. Having video game characters fight over wanting to play a video game comes off as redundant, not ironic humor, especially since the drive for them to fight isn't very convincing thematically. As incredibly famous/successful as Mario and Luigi are, there would probably be some ego issue going on like "What a sec, MY game is the best game ever, not this crap generic wannabe" (why the dollar bills in Mario's eyes? he's not getting rich over buying this game) Or maybe the two would fight over who would be the LEAD in the 'best game ever', that at least fits the rich-face. Outside of a brief cart struggle, there isn't any other antic that fits or works for these characters or their world; you're already cutting your humor in half by not working with their strengths, or maybe even going for the completely opposite effect, as that has it's uses in humor too (albeit very limited) In fact, sub in just about any other two characters, esp ones that have a penchant for competitive violence (Like Tom and Jerry) and the premise becomes a whole lot better. If it's going to have a predictable flow, either the mcguffin should fit and the antics should be theme fitting or be completely opposite, but this generic-anyone-could-be-doing doesn't work as well as what could've been going on.

Really wasn't all that great. You only put Mario and Luigi to improve ratings. This flash has nothing to do with Mario and could have easily been your own characters. But then, no one like it as much.
Seriously, forget about Mario & Co., and you have a pretty ugly video, unoriginal "plot", and a whole lot of un-funniness.
