Reviews for "Necronator"

good type of game

I love thees types of games there so fun. Just like the zombie version of it but this one seems like there's more you could upgrades or something then the other one but all in all its a great game

...

I've got no interest in this game. The GAME type is fun, but you've somehow managed to dull this one down with sandpaper, or something. The concept was good, but was...Holey..at best.

First of all, OH MY GOD, SO FRIGGIN' EASY. I could fall asleep faster if I played this. It had no challenge to it, and was litterally a snoozefest. More challenging units and obsticals would be so greatly appreciated.

Second, you have challenges that can't be met... The challenge is to kill 80 people, and you only put 75 in the town...? Okay? So, I'm supposed to complete that how exactly?

Lastly, it was rather annoying that you could scroll about the town, and look it over in it's peaceful view...and as soon as 1 fighter spawned, the town was flew into panic, so you had no way of building up a force, and truly "Steamroll" your foe like this game was supposed to be like. My suggestion, make the town panic as soon as a fighter gets within a certain radius of a civilian.

It's not a bad game, it's just seriously flawed in my oppinion.

Love this game.

although to me it's not as fun as infectonator, its still very enjoyable.

It's not as good as Infectonator

But it's still fun, and it's great that you're at least trying to shake it up a bit.

Well...

To start off with something comment-related:

@Ice-stomp
They're not like the Scourge, buddy. The Scourge are 100% undead who raise the undead. That's about it. In this game, you play a mad warlock who set out to raise an evil army (including Orcs, which are apparantly demons in this game).
You're also able to make fire rain from the sky, freeze things and summon Diablo.
The Scourge can't do this.

@vo1987
I'll tell you once I find out myself.

@slimlacy
It's not a sequel to Infectonator - It's a prequel.
This is what happened BEFORE Infectonator.
A sequel is what happens AFTER.

@iateamexican
I agree. It's bothersome to have your portal stand straight outside the enemy base and get zerged by mages and paladins.
I don't care much about the footmen whatsoever, they're just cannon fodder - To some extent.

@luigiCQC
As stated, this is a PREQUEL to Infectonator.
It's even in the damn author comments, learn how to read.

Game related stuff

The game, all in all, is very much like Infectonator. I even like the nostalgic little spell you put in - The infection ability from Infectonator itself. Very nifty detail, I like that.
It does, however, have certain refreshing twists to make it unique, and different from its cousin, Infectonator. Among other things, you have now made it an RTS, one that faintly reminds me of the good old days with C&C, before Westwood was sold out. That's a clear plus, mainly because the graphics are so old-fashioned they could be played on a damn PS1 (just like Red Alert 1).
I've noticed surprisingly few bugs whatsoever about this game, though there are some. Among others, I've counted a slight lag with using abilities, but it might just be me. You see, when I tried to use the Resurrection spell, I had to click three times before it worked, and by then I had lost the level. Sure, I resurrected 8 corpses, but to no avail.
Another thing that bothers me is that my Dark Archer seems to be unable to shoot more than one of her fancy green arrows - Despite the ability description: "Shoots several arrows." Again, it's not that big of a deal, but it's one of those bothersome little bugs that just annoy you.

Something I really like about this game is that I get to raise an army of pure evil made from skeletons, orcs, dead bodies and fallen heroes. That's always awesome-sauce, and it makes being evil a tad bit more fun.
Something I really hate about this game is the enemy. They seem to be able to keep up a constant zerg-like spam tactic on my front line while I bomb the shit out of them with fireballs raining from the sky.
It just never seems to be enough, because once one soldier dies, fifty more take his place.
That's not a tactic the HUMANS, the GOOD guys should be using - That's the tactic the evil undead legions of fire, doom and mean stuff, in other words the player himself. I was a bit disappointed at that, but still, it was fun to watch my skeletons turn a bunch of militia footmen into minced meat.

Overall, it's a very good game with very annoying flaws from time to time.
It reminds me of Infectonator, which is only good, and the graphics are so nostalgic you could make me suffer from reverse aging and go back to playing Red Alert on the PS1.
