The game gives a realy good feeling of oldgrounds, reminds me of younger days (graphicly and such) of the site, kinnda retro id say :D

Belial Chapter 1 : REVIEW
This is definitely one of newgrounds better Point N Click adventure games. It was very easy, somewhat short ( I'm aware this is only one of many chapters to come ), and entertaining to keep a player playing until the end of this one.
Story: 6/10, The story is rushed, but provides enough information to get somebody into the game and playing it. There was a lot of loop holes that could have been added in, even though it seems like a nonchalant silly game that isn't supposed to be serious, it never hurts to know more about your characters. We know that hes a deciple of the devil and is from hell but why was he kicked out from hell? And why does he hate his former protégé?
Gameplay: 8/10, the gameplay is simple, and very self-explanatory like most Point N Click Adventure games. The gameplay is conceived in a small area of about 8 scenes total. Its easy to find things and continue with the story, without having to click in random places hoping to find something like in MOST point n click adventure games. It was easy, but it had its points where you had to think of what to combine to move on.
Violence: 7/10, this game was shockingly violent. It was really over-the-top, but when I first played it and I glimpsed at a little red creature, I didn't think he'd be ripping faces off and tearing out spines. Sure, hes a deciple of the devil but it just didn't mix all that well with your art style. The violence a lot of the time was unneeded and it could have passed with just a blood stain or two, not a decapitation. Im sure many other players liked the violence, I did too, but I think you should tone it down a bit or atleast to fun or new when somebody DOES get their spine ripped out, so it doesn't get old after the first attempt.
Overall: 6/10, this game lacked in story, was a little too violent for its kind of artistic gesters, but had a very nicely flowed gameplay. The controls were 100% Flawless, but its hard to get anything out of the story because its so rushed. It's almost like there was no story because you forget about it halfway through the game. If it wasnt for the recap at the very end of the game to make a choice between Hell or Earth, I would have easily forgotten why he was even there. It's a good game, it just has places to be tweaked and upgraded.

It is a good game and I liked it. I did find a bug were if you click in just the right spot you can go into the subway before you open it. If you do this, you you can not leave and have to restart the game.
