I live near Bologna and I know very well those places, I am very happy to play a game settled here.
I like how you used the black/white pics and the choice of dark music, unfortunately I missed a couple of gnomes, I looked everywhere (I think).

Okay so I was SO scared to actually find a gnome, simply because of the dark atmosphere and music, that I olmost shit my pants when I actually saw one, just to quickly end the game haha.
Nice game! But u should make one of my hometown 's-Hertogenbosch! ^^

unfortunately I could only find 6 gnomes + a troll, although the game itself isn't really my type of game, I liked the photography, and I liked the way how it is put together is such a way that it provides a nice overview of all the pictures and actually giving them a location, the music creeped me out a bit, but it could be muted, so I won't judge on that,
overall nice artwork, and a good way of presenting it trough a game, which, although not my favourite type, was quite enjoyable :)
only thing I really find annoying is that there is no clue on where to look, and perhaps more important, what directions you can go, a big part of the gaming are, I didn't even find until near the end of my first time playing (played again to explore the new part as well) and it could be very possible that I still missed quite some more spots

It seems that you can't go wrong with the creator of Submachina... There are no puzzles this time, but there's a lot atmosphere. Great use of photographs and excellent sound design.
Do the gnomes hideouts randomize on each game? I'd love it if they do...
