Reviews for "SporeCraft"

A bit confusing...

Goood! and fun! Maybe i need a faster computer...Lol

Very good

more like spore and starcraft, not warcraft

Glitch-tastic

Like most ideas out there, i loved the concept but hated the execution. It was glitchy, extremely so. Even with the glitches, i find it amazing that people find this game hard though, because it was ridiculously easy. All you need is to spend a bunch of DNA on a single cell then multiply it for a never ending elite force... The combat features (defense/attack types, speeds, etc.) were nice but completely useless in that spamming high strength and hp took care of any defense type. Good try, and keep it up. This game can easily turn into a winner with enough fixing.

Good idea, bad engineering.

The title is pretty self-explanatory, however...I feel that something so right, yet gone so wrong deserves a proper chewing out.
Love the idea, you made a game reminiscent of Blizzard's most famous (of infamous?) Starcraft. We get it. Its SPOREcraft.
That alone got my attention, and caused me to check it out.
The tutorial, brilliant idea, so many games out there, have ten times the artwork, yet no tutorial, the wording is good, it is thorough.
The gameplay, its creative, you split cells, which make little baby cells of their own, which gather nutrients to increase DNA, which you then use to boost one specific cell's attributes in order for it to become stronger, then you order that cell to become a pool, thus cause every cell split from THAT pool to inherit some of the boosted traits.
Once again, brilliant.
The detail in the attributes you can boost, very specific, you can make many types of cells, as unbalanced or as balanced out as you want, also fun because you can make a crazy suped-up cell by just adding random attributes to see what happens, that's a LOT of fun. Love it.
The music, its fine, not repetitive, not at all.
Also, seriously good work with the AI of the enemy cells, they are capable to utterly pawn you at your first mistake.
It has SO much potential.
This is why I dislike how you mangled it all the more.
The glitches are annoying. More often than not, when I selected a large number of cells and ordered them to attack, gather or even just move, they were as likely to de-select themselves than do as instructed.
Then there's the size of the display. Very frustrating, especially when you can't see your mini-map in order to zoom back to another part of your pools which is getting raped simply because you wanted to keep track of your DNA/Resources and vice-versa.
Another thing, the AI is good, maybe too good. I've noticed that it doesn't actually attack the other computer controlled players until you're wiped out, which means that at your first mistake, every different flag of cells turns on you to pulverize your ass into extinction.
I'm giving you a generous five for the concept, take it and run home.

great game

i LOVE games like this!
