The doctor prolly didn't wanna say it but he's just doing his job. I'd imagine it was heartbreaking for him to give the news, but alas, he was just doing his job. The lighthearted tone of the cartoon probably made it difficult to invoke the emotion I was aiming for at the end of the cartoon. I was shooting for tears and heartbreak from the audience, but it seems everyone took it more comical.
