Brilliant Driven Semi-Epic!
Well, your last song, my first review on your music... Too be honest, wish it could of been sooner that I would of checked out your music... And just to be honest, the name (might) of been the thing that turned me off from listening to your music... No offense.
I have to say, Maestro might of beat me for making the longest review on the AP... And I was holding the torch for so long :(. I don't know Maestro all too much either... I guess my intentions towards NGs were to listen to Electronica, and I was genrally turned off by Classical music here... I have been stalking Edgen's music for awhile now, and have come to respect him... It wasn't until I saw this in the Top 5 that I actually came and checked you out... I didn't know it was your last, but I am glad I can get to speak in this final moment to you and review and song that you might actually review back.
I have to say... Piano is really something I am fascinating a lot... I think it might be my favorite instrument, given the circumstances. The Piano really shines on an emo piece, but given those facts aside, the song is genuinly brilliant. It has some fresh ideas going along with it, and also hinting a little bit of a Terminator drum kit along the way... Piano really shines halfway in, and really thrusts an explosive burst with each of the notes... The guitar was simply beautiful and complimented every moment it back the Piano up.
The song simply driven to a semi-powerful Epic. The song is a everlasting thrust of emotional and powerful sounds that just burst at every moment it can seek. The only problem I can see with it is the drums... Drums aren't really featured in an emotional driven song like this, but it would of made it more Epic and probably would of stood out more. I can't say I liked the pad all too much, but it was barable.
I congrats you on your Top 5, and even after just listening to one of your songs so far, I can look foward to future songs of yours on your site or whatever port you plan and leaking it into. The song is a nice Semi-Epic and should interest me enough to check out the rest of your songs.
