Reviews for "AXIT"

I like the gameplay

But a major issue I just ran into was that I was on lvl 20ish, not exactly sure which level I was on because there is nothing that tells you which level you're currently on. I wanted to find out what level I was on so I could see how much longer it would take to beat and since I didn't see any indication in the level I thought "Oh well maybe It'll tell me in the menu" I pressed the M button and not only could I still not find out what level I had progressed to but now I couldn't get back to the level I was on, I could only start from level 1! Not knowing what level you're on is a minor annoyance but having your whole game restart with just the press of one button that could very well be pressed by accident is just ridiculous. However, once these problems are fixed I think the game will be perfect.

okay, i'll keep that in mind! thanks!

well made, good fun, and fairly puzzling

A really ingenuitive twist on the classic slider puzzle game. although very frustrating the disappeary block thing was really clever.
the music was a little bit annoying. i know u can turn it off but its better to have music u dont want to turn off.
thats just a minor point thoguh as the game on the whole was pretty entertaining. i little bit easy before the disappearing stages but none the less fun.
well done =]

OctoFlash responds:

:D thank you!

awsome

sweet game, sweter music!

Great Puzzle Game

I love when people take a classic idea and redo it and add their own touches to it to make it interesting. This was one of the best revamped game concepts I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

The first few levels are very basic and someone who doesn't play past them may think this game is unoriginal. But once the new themes are reached, new gameplay elements are encountered that add quite a great twist. A good portion of the levels got my mind working trying to figure out how to get to the goal. Sometimes I would think the level was impossible, but the few reviews that people left saying they got to the end kept me going. It took a bit of time, but eventually I was able to reach the end. And while I have given the game a perfect score, I have a few gripes with it.

These complaints are minor, but some of them would have improved the overall experience and good amount. A level tracker would have been much appreciated. Just a little counter at the top that says "21/41" (depending on what level you were on obviously) would have been great.

A simple hint system would have been welcome as well. This goes for the last Lava level and most of the Ghost levels. In the last Lava level and pretty much all the Ghost levels, the solution was discovered by pure luck and accident. The Ghost levels in particular had extremely difficult solutions to find, even when you knew what you were looking for.

Then there was one little problem I had with the Rainbow levels. These levels didn't give me problems until the very last one. The solution requires almost perfect timing at one point where you are trying to bounce from one "?" box to another. From what I could see there was no discernible pattern so that you could tell when the "?" boxes were solid and when you could pass through them. This made the perfect timing that you needed almost impossible to accomplish. I was alternating between the two boxes for about 5 minutes until I finally got it right.

Overall it was a great game and I am very happy to have played it through to the end. Even though it had its problems it was still top-notch and I am looking forward to seeing more in the future.

thanks a lot for your review, this really helps me out! we won't add or change anything in this AXIT version but we're gonna make more and i'll keep in mind that you said! thanks!

Cool game

I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said.

Except, please make a walkthrough.
Not sure what the level # is, but there's a button, two blocks and the jem/mover.
I've done everything and I can't progress from there.

It's during the first theme.

OctoFlash responds:

i know which level you mean, it's #7
here's a hint: be quick.

if you still need a walkthrough, PM me.. :)
